Husband & Wife Team Actors Clint Black & Lisa Hartman + Video!

I just finished watching and listening to this on blu-ray and
I can tell you it's a great story and the music video is superbly
well done. What a charming country story your family will be delighted
too.

Clint Black and his talented
as well actress-wife Lisa Hartman Black, are back in action with
their appearances in this family friendly drama. It just came out
on Blu-ray and Dvd May 1, 2012 so if you missed your opportunity
to get it for Mother's Day don't despair. It's a good family movie
that everyone will enjoy so perhaps even for Father's Day would
be great. Flicka is available exclusively at Sam’s Club® and
Walmart.com and it's a good
value for your money.

If you can recall from Mary O’Hara’s previous novel
called "My Friend Flicka"
Directed by Michael Damian

When Toby played by Clint Black takes on a new rancher job
at a stable with a horse named Flicka, his bosse's
daughter Kelly quickly forms a lasting friendship
with Flicka. With a National Race coming up soon
she makes it her goal to win it with this beautiful
wild horse. Now of course no one should ever try to tame
a wild animal but you know how it is. It goes against everything
we believe to be near and dear but we just can't help ourselves
and we go for it anyway. That's the way it is with this teenager
who won't take no for an answer. She gives it her all and Flicka's
best too so you'll have to tune in and watch it to see if she made
it or not.

The country scenes in this movie are just perfectly shot and
they make you wish you were able to go to that place for yourself.
I've often wished I could just go on a week's vacation on a country style
ranch and actually live the way our ancestors did hundreds of years
ago. With all the hardships and everything it would be so great to relive
this dream. Plus the food would be so wonderful. I'm a country born
girl so the menu of beans, cornbread, steak and potatoes would be
right up my alley. They do show a lot of beautiful scenery and rolling
fences and the blu-ray presentation is to die for. You'll never be able
to see such a lovely setting and peaceful world as this. So enjoy the
wild stallion ride and relax. It's good to go country sometime.

The Flicka: Country Pride Blu-ray and DVD both have
some pretty interesting facts and trivia spots from the
two behind the scenes featurettes. Definitely worth watching
because you'll enjoy it plus there's an unheard of
making of the film and an all new Clint Black music video.
The music video with the man himself is more than worth the
price of admission for this title. With 100's of great country
songs under his belt you'll hear many of your classic favorites
on this video. For me, it's always a pleasure to see the husband
and wife team together as both are some pretty special people on their
own so combined it's the best of both World's.

was one of the most charming men who ever
walked this planet and I know many women feel

kind of alluring charm and screen presence
didn't he? There was something about him that
made you just want to hear what was going to
come out of his mouth next. And now you can do
that even easier with this ten dvd collection.
Sometimes it's fun and relaxing to look back
at these famous romantic relationships that
we saw unfold onscreen and off in Hollywood.

Like Frank Sinatra's marriage with Ava
Gardner. Sure it didn't last forever but we
all enjoyed seeing them together so I am glad
I was there along for the ride by way of
films. A film can carry you wherever you want
to go. Gone are the days of Cary Grant and
Betsy Drake but you can relive them in these
dvds.

On Disc 2 of Volume 1, is the 1958 Kings Go
Forth which I love. It takes place in France
at the end of World War II. I like all the
movies dedicated to World War !1 since my
favorite movie hero Audie Murphy was in that.
Kings Go Forth finds Frank in the First Lt.Sam
Loggins and he carries the title so well. You
also get to hear him narrate the picture which
is doubly great for all his fans. He will talk
about his first meeting with Corporal Britt
Harris which is played by none other than Tony
Curtis. This young corporal wide eyed and
bushy tailed will become his #1 radio
guy for all the important news. They will
become friends and comrades until of course
Natalie Wood comes into the picture. Then
there will be trouble but it's the kind you'll
want to watch as the sparks fly over France.
Disc 3 in Volume 1 contains the hit A Hole in
the Head from 1959 another classic movie. It's
a comedy with a romantic twist thrown in for
good measure. Frank Capra directed this drama
about Tony Manetta a single widowed guy in
Florida this time. He owns a dingy dreary
hotel called surprisingly enough The Garden of
Eden. He lives there with his 12 year old son.
Lots of lovely young ladies pop up in this
romantic comedy that you'll recognize quickly.
Some of the actor's you'll see in this are Dub
Taylor and Keenan Wynn.

Also on Volume 1 you have the 1960 musical
comedy Cole Porter's Can-Can on Disc 4. with
Shirley MacLaine, Louis Jourdan, Maurice
Chevalier and Juliet Prowse. Sinatra plays
French Barrister this time. This one's not
one of my favorite's. I've never been a
musical or broadway type gal.

6. C'est Magnifique

Now Disc 1 of Volume 2 it's apolitical
thriller the 1962 The Manchurian Candidate
crafted by John Frankenheimer. It's really
good with lot's of drama and adventure.
It's one of his best acting gigs.

Disc 2 of Volume 2 is the famously classic Von
Ryan's Express another WW II movie made in
1965. Remember I said that The Kings Go Forth
was more of a romantic drama?
Well Von Ryan's Express is like Frank
Sinatra's Great Escape and it's pure
excellence in a movie presentation. You'll
find it hard to beat this classic adventure.
It revolves around 1943 Von Ryan's Express
begins with an American pilot Colonel Joseph

L. Ryan, crashing his fighter plane in Italy.
Unfortunately for him Germany occupied that
part of Italy back then so he's in a heap of
trouble. All I'll tell you is he is captured
and placed in a prisoner of war camp so you
know he's in some serious stuff.
In Cast a Giant Shadow which landed in 1966on
Disc 3 Volume 2 which features Frank Sinatra
sadly in a very small part for this picture.
The star is Kirk Douglas oddly enough and it's
an ok movie but hey were' not here for
him,right? Anyway, it's about American Bomber
Pilots so has some action in it to keep you
entertained. I really don't know why they
included this movie along with this dvd
collection since he barely makes an appearance
in it.

For Disc 4 features Sinatra as his famously
handsome private detective. This 1967 Tony
Rome is another awesome reason to buy this
entire set. It's Frankie at his best most
lovable self.
1968 will find you The Detective Disc 5 Volume
2 Frank is Police Sergeant named Joe Leland.
It's another great feature film and has a lot
of your favorite actors and actresses on it.
Like Lee Remick and Jack Klugman to anme a
couple. Oh yeah, let's not forget the lovely
Jacqueline Bisset
who shows up as one of the main squeeze's.
Now we're in the last stretch on this 10 item
set. The Frank Sinatra Film Collection has yet
another Detective Tony Rome feature called
Lady in Cement Disc 6 Volume 2. It's a 1968
filmdirected by Ricou. It features Dan
Blocker yes Hoss of Bonanza, wow haven't heard
that name in years. I found it very charming
that they had him watching his own show on the
television during this movie.
This massive assortment of MGM and Fox movie
releases has a ton of great movies included.
Each of the ones in this collection has
already been releashed on dvd on it's own.
But, if you don't already have those you'll be
all set with this assortment. Most of the
Discs are widescreen transfers so not high
definition and certainly
not blu-ray but still a good transfer and the
pictures are good. Some of themhave stereo
sound and some have the mono sound features
instead. I thought they would all be the same.
English subtitles are featured on a few of
them but not onall of the dvds in this set. As
for special features I really sadly couldn't
find any but don't let that stop you from
getting these for your own or as a gift. With
Frank Sinatra in the lead these dvds just may
be special neough on their own. Don't wait for
a kick in the head to get your order in.

2012 Film Reviews Smitty Dvd Movie Review Kids Family Safe
Spiritual Overview

If you are looking for a movie that's light on violence and bad language I have a new one for you to consider. It's called;
Smitty, from Phase 4
Films. There is no
sexual scenes to worry about and no embarrassing to watch with your kids nudity. It's a basic good old fashioned type movie that family's can enjoy in peace.
The film does have a Christian overview to it so if you are a religious family you'll like it even more than a non spiritual family.
I really appreciated the fact as a parent, that this movie had no scenes with smoking or alcohol which is a rare thing in the film industry.
Smitty is a good positive movie about a teenage boy and his new friend who happens to be a dog. It's all about each one of them needing the other and the heights they'll go thru to keep that bonding friendship. It's a tale about the journey of life and what it can bring to those who try to live it to the fullest. It can seem a bit preachy at times but other than that the messages are timeless that come thru.

Now granted this is a dog but it's not intended to be Lassie or Rin Tin Tin. It's just a fun loving good natured dog who wants to be loved and wants to give love in return to his rightful owner who is Ben. They find each other thru strange connections but they will build a magnificent friendship that's enjoyable to watch as it grows. There are several moments of hardship and despair in this movie but faith and grace seem to always have a better plan in store for those who believe and are patient. It's an overall good story and your family will enjoy
seeing it and relaxing with a good kids movie.
